DIY livery includes a stable, all year round daily turnout, the use of the indoor school, horse walker, tack and feed storage areas and other facilities. All clients have the option (with notice to others) of booking the school for lessons or jumping sessions.
Horses can have a morning feed given to them in the morning (useful at weekends when you want a lie in!) Hay and straw is available for clients to purchase or they can purchase their own, hay and bedding, in small quantities, to be stored on the farm.
In the winter, turnout is during the day, but otherwise full turnout is available if required. Horses are usually in groups of two to four mares or geldings in large paddocks fenced with hedges, post and rail and/or electric fencing. The winter paddocks are close to the farm while the summer paddocks can be reached from a track within the farm and are up to eleven acres in size. There is a small outdoor sand paddock for recuperation or if restricted grazing is required.
The yard follows a structured worm count and wormng program to help ensure that all horses are healthy and minimise the use of wormers. All new horses must be wormed before entering the yard.
Trailer and horsebox storage is available for clients for a small monthly charge.
